Original 100-amp ranch services
Many 1970s valley homes were sized for a furnace and a dryer. An EV charger, a heat pump, or a kitchen remodel usually starts with a load calculation and, often, a 200-amp upgrade.

Almaden Valley is a south San Jose neighborhood, not a separate city. The housing along Almaden Expressway, Coleman Road, and the foothills toward Almaden Quicksilver is mostly 1960s through 1980s ranch and two-story homes, with later infill and some hillside lots.
That stock is different from Willow Glen. Lots are larger, two-car garages are common, and attic space is usually available. The electrical problem set is original 100-amp services, EV circuits in those garages, outdoor lighting on bigger yards, and public safety power shutoffs on streets that sit closer to the hills.
Executive Electric upgrades panels, installs Level 2 chargers, runs safety checks, and plans standby generators for Almaden Valley homes. Permits go through the City of San Jose Building Division, the same as the rest of San Jose. We still treat this neighborhood as its own route because access, lot size, and PSPS exposure are not the same as a bungalow on Minnesota Avenue.
Commercial work here is lighter than Lincoln Avenue or downtown. We still handle small offices, HOA common areas, and property-manager scopes when they sit in the valley.

We inspect the panel, grounding, and the loads you plan to add. You get a clear explanation of what has to change for a Almaden Valley home or business.
02
We design the work to California Electrical Code, file with the City of San Jose, and coordinate PG&E when a service change needs a shutdown. Foothill generator pads and longer feeder runs are part of the plan, not an afterthought.
03
Licensed electricians complete the install, test circuits, and leave the panel labeled. Residential and commercial jobs get the same standard.
04
We meet the inspector, hand over documentation, and remain the contractor of record if you add circuits later.

Many 1970s valley homes were sized for a furnace and a dryer. An EV charger, a heat pump, or a kitchen remodel usually starts with a load calculation and, often, a 200-amp upgrade.
Streets toward Almaden Quicksilver and New Almaden can lose the feeder during fire season. A standby generator needs a transfer switch, gas, and a San Jose permit. A cord through a window is not the plan.
Larger lots add landscape lighting, pool equipment, and outdoor living circuits on a service that was never drawn for them. We map those loads before we add another breaker.
Almaden Expressway, Coleman, and the hills take time. We schedule the valley as its own stop on the route so the crew is not guessing at driveway length or meter location.

No. Almaden Valley is a San Jose neighborhood. We pull City of San Jose Building Division permits for panel upgrades, EV circuits, generators, and most new wiring.
Some streets toward Almaden Quicksilver sit in PG&E public safety shutoff zones. We can plan a standby generator with an automatic transfer switch when that is the right fit. Call for current availability on the assessment.
Often the existing 100-amp service is short once you add a Level 2 circuit. We run a load calculation and quote a panel upgrade when the numbers say so. We do not add the charger if the panel cannot carry it.
Yes. A safety check is its own visit. We look at accessible components, explain what we find, and leave a list. Repair work is a separate decision.
Yes. Willow Glen has its own page because the bungalows and Lincoln Avenue shops are a different problem set. We still cover Cambrian, downtown, and the rest of the city.
Almaden Valley sits at the south end of San Jose, along Almaden Expressway, with Almaden Lake Park on the valley floor and Almaden Quicksilver County Park in the hills. The neighborhood is residential, with a housing mix that dates to the suburban build-out of the 1960s and 1970s.
Electrically that means original 100-amp panels, two-car garages that now want Level 2 charging, and foothill streets that plan for PG&E shutoffs. Permits still come from the City of San Jose. The work is neighborhood-specific because the lots and the hills are not Willow Glen or downtown.
